The first time I saw Annie, I had been living with lower back pain for several years. I had tried several different treatments, and been to several other doctors and was just about ready to start taking painkillers and give up on finding a cure. I saw an ad for A. Fox Physical Therapy, P.C. and went on the website to find about IMS, and became excited to give it a try. After my very first visit, I told everyone I knew that I could already tell that this had been a life changing event! I now live without pain about 98% of the time, and I know that when I do something that aggravates my injury, that I can go for a treatment with the "magic needles" and the pain will go away. My General Practitioner recommended that I should visit Dr. Fox to treat my sciatica.  In the past, when I had sciatica, it would always last between eight and twelve weeks. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications and/or physical therapy would make no difference.  My physician told me that Dr. Fox had some different methods of treatment. Dr. Annie Fox introduced me to her special type of needle therapy. After the first visit, I was about 80% better, a minor miracle.

My second exposure to Dr. Fox had similar results: I had been suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists for the last six years.  I had been sleeping with two wrist braces for the whole time.

A year ago, a wrist surgeon told me that I would ultimately need an operation on each wrist. There was no emergency and I should tell him when I wanted it to be performed.  Two months, ago I decided that it was time for the operations.

I casually mentioned the above to Dr. Fox, and she said that she could help.  Two visits, yielded dramatic improvement.  I no longer need the wrist braces or the surgery. I have found Dr. Annie Fox to be compassionate, caring and capable.  I strongly recommend her services.

After getting Intramuscular Stimulation from A. Fox Physical Therapy, P.C., my muscle pain has dramatically decreased.  I've never had a therapy that has helped my body pain so much.  I have had other practitioners do the same technique (IMS) but with lesser results.  The one-on-one fully devoted time and the knowledge that Annie possesses is what really separates her from the rest.  She really listens to your needs and uses her elite skills to make sure you are getting right to the problem areas.  I feel so much better!  Thank you so much!

I am writing this note to express my sincerest appreciation and thanks to you and your very competent staff. I have had three major surgeries within 5 weeks starting on February, 2007.

The first two surgeries were to fix my spine so that I could try and live a normal life without pain. These surgeries required both an anterior and posterior approach to implant titanium supports and bone grafts. A few weeks after the surgeries, I developed a staff infection in my back which required another surgery. At this point in time, I was so weak and in so much pain that my doctor referred me to you for therapy. I have found that within only a few sessions with you and your excellent staff that finally my pain is decreasing.

You and your staff are extremely professional, friendly, and competent; and the environment you provide is very comfortable. I have had a lot of physical therapy in the past, and nothing compares to this. I look forward to my therapy sessions. I met Annie in February 2007, six weeks after my two level neck fusion surgery. I fell hard on the ice in 2001, and a year later started having painful neck symptoms. I literally tried everything a person could try to get pain relief. During those five years after I fell, I have seen at least 10 different Physical Therapists. Each time I saw them for a few months at a time. Almost every time, all they would do for me was give me a list of exercises to do and gave me the occasional ultrasound treatment. I tried to communicate with them, but it always felt like it fell on deaf ears. I was really starting to think things were hopeless for me. I even ended up in a depression because nothing would help my pain. I had such bad neck and upper body muscle spasms that I had to decrease the amount I worked because I couldn’t tolerate standing up for most of the day. I also had to alter my social life because I couldn’t sit for any length of time, either.

After having the neck surgery as a last ditch effort, I still experienced bad muscle spasms. I told the surgeon’s office at my six week post-op appointment that I was done wasting my time with Physical Therapy. I was pretty adamant about not going, but they recommended Annie because they knew she would really help me and we would be a great fit together. I was so anxious to meet her that I drove straight from the surgeon’s office to A. Fox Physical Therapy, P.C. ( Annie’s office) to make an appointment.

She saw me the first thing the next morning and I knew immediately that this was going to be a very good experience!

Annie and her staff were so friendly and empathetic to me. I felt like they really cared very much about my pain. They were always extremely accommodating to me, listened to me, and were willing to fit me in the schedule if I had any kind of set-back. I really wish I had met Annie sooner because I feel that I could have avoided neck surgery with the proper care beforehand. And I feel that I suffered needlessly for five years because I didn’t receive the superior care that I have gotten with Annie. The manual therapy and IMS (needling) was outstanding. I cannot thank her enough for all the help she has given me. I am really feeling like my old happy self again!!
