Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis describes inflammation of the connective tissue on the bottom of the foot, which provides stability and aids in foot mechanics critical in walking or gait patterns. It connects to the heel through the Quadratus Plantae muscle, which attaches to the heel. When the plantar fascia gets inflamed, or irritated, it can cause severe heel pain, which tends to be worst with your first step out of bed in the morning.

Physical therapy can help speed your recovery utilizing manual therapy, specific exercise, dry needling and custom orthotics as appropriate and indicated.
