Hand Therapy services at A.Fox Physical Therapy are provided through skilled therapists specializing in hand and upper extremity acute injuries, chronic problems, and surgical procedures. Common conditions we treat are tendonitis, sprains, strains, fractures, arthritis, and post surgical conditions requiring the attention of a well trained hand therapist.
Along with general rehabilitation including specific hand based exercises, we are also trained in dry needling, have a focus on manual based treatments, and are able to provide our patients with static splinting services including custom made orthoses as prescribed by your doctor.
Please be sure to specify that you are calling for hand therapy rehabilitative or splinting services so we may schedule you appropriately.
Patty Stott works out of our Golden location and can provide static splinting services if needed for our patients. She began her training in hand therapy with CEU courses for hand therapy and splinting and then went on to attend Drexel University’s Hand and Upper Quarter Certification program for guided education. She graduated from the program and passed the certification exam the following year while working closely in a previous office with a hand surgeon.
Connor Van Bavel works out of our Broomfield location and took an early interest in hands while on rotation in school for Physical Therapy at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital in Kingston Ontario in a hand therapy setting. His previous clinic setting role before joining A. Fox Physical Therapy was to take over the caseload of a certified hand therapist for a few years and has continued to progress his skills with continuing education.
